Toronto at Christmas

My top places to visit in Toronto around Christmas time.

I absolutely love Toronto and visit regularly as my brother lives there. I have visited in the summer, autumn & winter, and each time I visit is different and wonderful in its own way. I recently visited at the end of November, which was lovely, as everything was very festive. Here are a few places I like to visit when in Toronto during the winter season.

Casa Loma (Spanish for Hill House) is a Gothic Revival style house and gardens in midtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, that is now a museum and landmark. It was built as a residence for financier Sir Henry Mill Pellatt. Casa Loma was constructed from 1911 to 1914.

Christmas Market Distillery District

The Toronto Christmas Market takes over the Distillery Historic District for another year of holiday magic and romance. Now in its eighth year, the market has become one of the city's favourite holiday traditions, ranked one of the world's best Christmas markets by Fodor's Travel, USA Today, Mashable and more.

Sunset at Trinity Bellwoods Park

Trinity Bellwoods Park is a public park located in the west end of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, bordered by Queen Street West on the South and Dundas Street on the north. In the winter its beautiful in the snow and you can catch locals playing ice hockey. In the summer the park is full of activity, from drum circles and slacklining to hip hop dance offs and baseball games. There is also a community swimming pool and tennis courts, which I regularly use. Toronto is very dog friendly and you will see many types of dogs having fun in the park. There are also many types of squirrels (grey, black and the famous white squirrel - there is even a cool coffee shop named after it nearby ).
